The Best Tignes Après-ski Venues

On our list for great après-ski vibes in Franc, is good old Tignes. We also rate Val Thorens and Chamonix for a good boogie. Here’s a list of our fave places that put on the best Tignes après-ski parties and events.

Blue Girl in Val Claret

For a good earful of R’n’B, techno and pop music, Blue Girl is the club for you. The venue opens at 11:30pm and closes at 5am. There’s a raunchy, and slightly grubby, pole and cage area, and the floor quickly becomes a sticky mess with heavily mixed drinks being sloshed about. But, it has a pretty good rep for being a decent party scene and the Google and Facebook reviews are full of praise.

Le Caveau in Val Claret

This cute restaurant includes a small bar, which is quite popular and regularly hosts live music performances. The mood of the place is quite lively and fun, although prices can be a little steep. Head here for dinner and pre-drinks, before moving on to another pub or bar.

Couloir in Val Claret

Another restaurant and bar that is ideal for kicking off your evening with a great meal and some drinks is Couloir. The happy hour starts at 4pm and runs until 6pm. Downstairs, sofas entice you to unwind and have a quiet chat, whilst upstairs, the cocktails flow alongside delicious tapas dishes. Live bands and DJs grace the bar once the night has set in.

L’Embuscade

If you’ve got a hangover from hell but don’t want to sacrifice a night on the après, or you just fancy something a bit more cosy and settled, head to L’Embuscade. This great French bar is filled with French and British chatter that dances over the soft funky music in the background. There is a pool table and the drinks won’t cost you the life of your first born.

La Flambée in Hotel Village Montana

Sink into a comfy sofa and relax in front of a crackling fire at La Flambée. The vibe here is decidedly more relaxed than most venues in party-mad Tignes. You can sip a vin chaud and take a moment to process your day. Kiddies are welcome too, meaning the general atmosphere is friendly and quite laid-back.

La Folie Douce

We love La Folie and in Tignes the Folie Douce is perhaps the major attraction. Everyday at 3pm, the party kicks off with booming Euro-techno-dance music and smashing food and drink to boot. Half the patrons are dressed in fancy dress and neon colours, whilst the other half are on the tables. Staff are renowned for being friendly and fun and La Folie regularly puts on fabulous events. Think world-class DJ acts, singers, top acrobatic and dance performers, and the occasional party host landing next to the venue by parachute. At La Folie, the madness is real.

Grizzly’s Bar in Val Claret

Themed like a hunter’s cabin in the woods, Grizzly’s Bar is a great venue with sun terrace and fire pit. The wooden theme runs right through the bar and includes handcrafted wooden benches on the outdoor terrace and beautiful varnished interior furniture. There are also a ton of animal skin furnishings. Food and drink are top notch but a little on the expensive side.

Jack’s Club in Le Lac

This club breaks the mould when it comes to club expectations in a mountain resort. Sporting 10 bowling lanes(!) and a games arcade that are open until 2am, patrons can also dance in the nightclub until doors close at 4am. Music genres are typically 70s, 80s, and 90s hits and some good dance music from a host of international artists. You’ll notice there’s an onslaught of new guests arriving from around 1am, as other bars and venues start to close.

Loop Bar in Le Lac

Perfect for catching a tan with an ice cold beer, Loop Bar has a huge sunny terrace ad generally puts on great live music, comedy, and DJ shows. Sports fans can watch the latest events on three large screen inside. Breakfast and lunch never fail to disappoint and the kitchen is open serving snacks alongside the booze until 9pm.

Marmot Arms in Tignes Le Lac

Play some pool, watch some sport, and enjoy the live band at Marmot Arms. With a distinctly British feel, this place is a great stop on a pub crawl around the resort.

Melting Pot in Val Claret

Set underground, the Melting Pot is club that consistently delivers great nights out. The music genres are a little less cheesy compared to other clubs. The Melting Pot steers clear of the 80s and 90s remixes and instead plays the most recently released tracks, mixed by a host of skilled DJs. Entry is a smidge expensive, but most people won’t quit the venue until around 4am when it closes.

Ski d’Or Hotel in Val Claret

For those looking for an evening of sipping sophisticated cocktails and sinking into plush sofas to chat with friends, Ski d’Or Hotel is the place to go. The bar offers a quiet evening and a great place to either unwind post ski-sesh, or start pre-drinks before you head out.

Le Studio in Val Claret

This venue has a really cosy vibe. Regulars make a habit of visiting this place, which has a softer, less-rushed energy. The crowd is largely French, and the decor is stylish and chilled. Head here if you want to save the banging tunes for later in the evening, or you need somewhere a little slower to take the edge off your hangover.

Whitney Bar in the Suites du Nevada

The Whitney Bar is a stylish and sophisticated venue, situated within the five star Suites du Nevada Hotel in Val Claret. The bar has a contemporary yet relaxed feel. Any glass of wine will be a good choice in this place, and you can settle with your drink in front of a large open fire.
