Hotel Le Pashmina Val Thorens
Le Pashmina in Val Thorens, also a 5-star establishment, and known as ‘the Refuge’, aims to be ‘a haven of luxury on Europe’s roof’. Well, we kinda like that concept and we kinda like the hotel too. There are 50 rooms set across 8 floors and rooms come in a variety of styles. We like that families have the option to book a ‘Cosy Home’, a super suite that consists of an open plan kitchen and large living room, which is essentially a home away from home.
Nicely situated close to all the skiing action, this hotel offers comfort in style, along with excellent spa facilities and outdoor jacuzzi. Book your room online and whilst you’re at it, check out their restaurant Les Explorateurs, for gourmet in house dining.

Not to be confused with its sister hotel in Courchevel, the Fahrenheit Seven in Val Thorens sits at 2,300m, right next to the pistes. Offering more of a ‘casual luxury’ vibe, the rooms are stylish, staff are welcoming, and the food is delicious. As part of the design, co-owner Veronique Vidoni has explained that they ‘retrieved old black and white photos of Val Thorens in the early 70s’. This allowed them to pay homage to the history of the Val Thorens, and recreate the vibes and atmosphere of the time.
